Payment & Card Security

Last updated September 6, 2026

Zing Burger accepts card payments online through Clover, our payment processor and point-of-sale provider. This page explains exactly how your card information is handled, in line with Clover's merchant requirements and the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

Your card details never touch our website

The card number, expiry date and security code fields at checkout are secure fields hosted and served by Clover inside our page. What you type goes straight to Clover over an encrypted connection and is exchanged for a one-time token. Our website and our staff never see, receive, transmit or store your full card number, expiry date or CVV.

For your receipt and for order support, we keep only the card brand and the last four digits, the amount, and the approval result.

PCI DSS compliance

  • Clover is a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment provider — the highest level of card-industry security validation.
  • Because card data is captured in Clover's hosted fields and tokenized, our website is scoped as a merchant that does not store, process or transmit cardholder data on its own systems.
  • All pages, including checkout, are served over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
  • Our payment credentials are stored as encrypted server-side secrets. They are never included in website code and never exposed to your browser.
  • Payment confirmations sent back to us by Clover are signature-verified before we mark an order as paid.

Fraud prevention and verification

To protect both you and the restaurant, new customers confirm their email with a one-time code before an order can be paid, phone numbers are validated, and automated or suspicious submissions are blocked. Clover performs card authorization, address and security-code checks, and may decline a transaction it considers high risk.

Accepted cards and charges

  • We accept major credit and debit cards supported by Clover, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
  • Your card is charged once, at the time you place the order, for the total shown at checkout including tax.
  • We do not store your card for future orders and we do not set up recurring or automatic charges.
  • Your bank statement will show a charge from Zing Burger.

Refunds, declines and disputes

Refunds are issued back to the original card through Clover and usually appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. Declined payments are handled by your bank — no order is created and no money is taken. If you see a charge you do not recognise, contact us first at zingburgertucker@gmail.com or 706 363 6666 and we will investigate before you need to raise a chargeback. Full details are in our Order & Refund Policy.

What we ask of you

  • Never send your full card number, expiry or security code to us by email, text or over the phone — we will never ask for it, and we cannot accept it.
  • Only enter card details on the checkout page at zingburger.us, and check for the padlock in your browser.
  • Tell us straight away if you believe your card or your order account has been misused.

How your payment data is stored

Order records, totals, and the card brand and last four digits are held in our secure database for up to seven years to meet tax and accounting rules. Full card data is held only by Clover under its own privacy and security terms. See our Privacy Policy for the complete picture.
